Turbulence

Last week, I had gone to mumbai yet again to be felicitated for achieving an all india rank in Central Proficiency Test- the first of the three exams to become a chartered accountant. I was almost duped by a tout on mumbai central station, but in the end my doggedness resulted in me getting a close-to-fair deal.

The next day, Rutwick(He has become a regular feature in my blog entries now), Nilay and I had an accident while going to eat Vada Pav on Rutwick's reliable Splendour. On Nilay's(or my-this is still ambiguous) behest, Rutwick was trying to overtake a road roller(I dont know why we were trying to be so adventurous), when his bike slipped and we both were hurt. Miraculously, Baba aka Nilay jumped from the bike and escaped unhurt.

Since I have been traveling a lot, I decided to give the cultural fest of IIM-A, i.e. Chaos, a miss. Listening to the invaluable experiences (no sarcasm here- devilish grin) of my friends, I am ruing the my decision. In case, I have not mentioned before, I am in the core committee of the technical festival of our college- Mindbend. It has been enriching, working as a team for the success of the event(No mocking here too). This year's student council has finally been formed in our college, but that deserves a separate post, so I will write about that soon. Meanwhile, my beloved college promotes English speaking and writing to such an extent that I invented a new spelling for "unadulterated" which I used in my previous entry.

For our periodic movie review, I saw two old movies this time:
Jane bhi Do Yaro starring naseerudin shah was a comedy, which was nicely thought of, considering when it was made. It deserves 4 stars from me. Acting was superb and the blending of impossible fiction in the scenario was creatively handled.
Chalti ka Naam Gadi starring MAdhubala and Kishore Kumar is a black and white movie which has awesome songs and good comedy. Second half is typically Bollywood, but the camaraderie between the three brothers- Ashok, Anoop and kIshore is for all to see. It earns 4 stars as well.

My close and not so close friends (and acquaintances-thanks to my friends) have started teasing, nay taunting me for some silly matters(which I conveniently wont elaborate here) which has helped me choose this title(choosing a title is usually the toughest part of writing).
