post no. 5

Let me start off where I left the last time. Modi returned to power in Gujarat with a thumping majority. A lot of analysis has been done by so many people, so wont go into that.

On a different note, I saw taare zameen par and welcome. I would give 5 stars to tzp, the movie was mind blowing. Welcome was a senseless comedy, which still made me laugh, maybe because of anil kapoors's acting, or nana patekar's antics, so it earns 3.5 stars.

I had gone to Mood Indigo, the cultural fest of IIT Bombay in December end, where Rutwick(hope I got the spelling right) and I went out of the way to explore the infrastructure of Mumbai's efficient drainage system. UV lite dancing, the virtual casino and RD burman nite were events which I will remember for a long time.

New year's eve was hectic, with me watching a movie, attending a treat, going to a dj party, n then playing cricket a friend's farmhouse.

There was this cousin's marriage in mid january, where I enjoyed very much. I was forced to dance in four song sequences as there is a dearth of boys in my family who dance well, and unfortunately I was the scapegoat this time. But it was four days of pure unalderated fun.

Its January end now, I just returned from IIt Bombay's Techfest, where this time, I explored the Powai lake at night, going through a frightening jungle at 3 Am. Accompanying me on this daring journey were optimistic pankaj, practical vijay, afraid swati and the most colorful character- hyper siddharth. I(along with rutwick again) had participated in an event where our team could not clear the elims(only 2 teams altogether cleared it eventually). This time, I determinedly attended all night events unlike Mood I, where mostly, I used to skip those events due to a long waiting line to get into them. Star gazing in the night, seeing so many events in sucha short span of time, watching awesome fire juggling techniques, making new friends, this techfest was so much fun.

Now its back to regular college life- bunking classes personally, mass bunking classes, wasting precious time of our youth in canteen, those small things that make you laugh, also those small things that hurt you- I guess this is a time of my life that will not return.

And life goes on..........

PS By the way, could not think of a title for all this rubbish.
